What the scientists say is true. There are infinite realms, universes, and worlds beyond comprehension—a vast world beyond our imagination and understanding. Different theories on how the world came to be, yet, no one knows for sure. They say it was a creation of celestials who were tired of living their immortal lives alone. Or it was the void that created the world. Others say that a vast cosmic event caused it. We know that in-between worlds, there exist folds that cater to life, different from what we usually see.In this nameless world exist five separate realms, divided by the powers that be; three worlds exist on top of each other, stacked in a seeming hierarchy: one called Skyworld, or Heaven, which lives past the folds of the blue sky. In the middle is Terra or Earth, the birthplace of humans and other mortal beings while the third is called Underworld or Hell, situated at the bottom of the stack. Three main realms where different creatures and races reside together.Parallel to earth exist two realms, hidden from the rest of the world, where the rules are somehow bent: Noctis Regnum and Lucis regnum—placed somewhere between the folds of existence where only by the help of a portal can it be reached. Unlike earth, these separate realms receive more exposure from the power of the universe, allowing its creatures the talent to harness and control their surroundings. Yet everything disappeared in a blink of an eye.The land of milk honey was ravaged by the void, leaving the beloved homeworld broken and rugged. The elemental towers that once protected the relams were destroyed, leaving everyone to fend for themselves. The realms which were once interconected, are now splintered and disconnected. From the ashes of Noctis rose new powers; those that seek order and peace, while some bask in the chaos and discord. Will you come and join the light? Or bask in the glory of darkness? Come and join, after midnight.

At the height of calamities rose a group of people who were willing shields and hands to those that needed it. There were still people who chose to see the bright side of whatever happened after chaos wrecked havoc across the realms.

The Melantha Cartel
Not all survivors aim for the light. There are those who wish to rule the remnants of the realms with an iron fist or to take advantage of the weak. They control and/or own companies, establishments, acting as enforcers. Two groups were formed from the main branch, each with their own vision of what Noctis should be.

Reinua Foundation
After The Great Calamity, most of the realm were abandoned or in ruins. A once beautiful lake has dried up— becoming a marsh rather than a lake, animals that roamed the wild became rare, plants and trees could barely grow. Smaller areas were in good, habitable conditions, while those within the outskirts of the old cities were in shambles.A small population from the South-East side of the world came together and agreed to build a new home for the survivors of Rhymeria region—they were known as The Reinua Foundation. Housing, power, and agriculture were the major industries they focused on that helped them get through the early years. Later on, they developed new technology to use, discovered more sources of food and water, and even came up with a useful means of transportation.As years gone by, the Foundation created two factions: Valiant and Concord— each dedicated to the improvement of a particular industry.Valiant: those who saw that order must be returned at all cost were in this faction. Valiants were also dedicated to knowledge and intelligence— they kept the knowledge of Noctis of old, those who followed the way of the scroll and scribes. Often described as brave, seeming almost fearless, skilled in combat, they also aim to eliminate ignorance and darkness from human minds. They strive to become courageous and durable, but also scholarly and wise, hence, them being known to be the soldiers of Rhymeria.Concord: there were the ones who believed that in diversity, there's unity and harmony— that race wasn't an issue when everyone's got the same goal. Settled in the eastern seaside, Concords provide life to any festivity they held. They also conduct events to provide to the less fortunate— from medical missions to feeding programs. They're considered the caretakers of Rhymeria.

Melantha Cartel
The North-west side of the realm that used to be the home of thousands and been the most economically successful region ever, was now a contaminated wasteland. The continent of Velena looked dry, destroyed, and lonely. The air's breeze felt like crying sorrows, and the grey deceitful sky awed down at the survivors. In the deepest corner of despair lies dystopia where hope dies.Only visible by the dim light of the moon were the once lively and bright skyscrapers. The infrastructures that symbolized a strong and stable region became the base of the most dangerous beings—The Melantha Cartel. Those who thought they had the upper hand claimed everything their eyes could reach— houses were ransacked, goods were stolen and later on sold for higher prices in Agora, and the weak were force labored to keep life going in the region. They had to maintain power, food, and water supplies, all the while majority of the residences were limited with the use and consumption of everything.Light seemed to not exist as two factions emerged and continued to bring terror to everyone. Those who wanted to have a somehow comfortable life joined and became the predators instead of the preys.Tyranus: these were the organized groups, crime rings, and mafias. Each group had their own turfs and respected each others' rules. They help at will and protect their own. Their services were known not only in the Velena region, but also in the neutral lands. People from this faction were known for being well mannered, educated, and very loyal.Discord: as someone looked through the eyes of the evil-doer, they see a discord's utopia. The screams and cries of terror undistinguishable between beast and human filled the ears of the living. People of this faction knew no bounderies or rules. They take what they want in all means possible, even if it would result in being unalive. Mainly composed of rebels, terrorists, and thugs—they had the strongest urge to have control not only over Velena but for more power over the realm.

Lumina City
Established way before The Great Calamity, Lumina had been in Noctis Regnum for a long time. It is situated in the heart of the realm— consisting of a federal district, the Center Point, business zones, and outlying regions. The city was a non-residential area and it was believed that the people who maintained it became the ones behind the formation of The Reinua Foundation and The Melantha Cartel.Tales had it that the city was heavily protected by the strongest beings during the apocalypse for it wasn't as ruined as the rest of the realm. With that in mind, the citizens built a wall around it to protect it from anyone who wanted to claim or rule the place. Only two ways to travel in and out of the city: by train or by portals made by high warlocks that were located in specific areas.Since almost 90% of the city was preserved, it had its own power supply, abundant source of food, water, and supplies needed for their different industries like masonry and textiles, and they had the most advanced technology in the realm. Lumina helped the two domains during their establishment periods and in return, people maintained peace and balance within the city. Hence, Lumina being also known as the realm's neutral ground.Crime in the city was rated minimal to none, so people felt safe to have their companies here. Aside from businesses, it also had a training center, a primary hospital, wet and dry markets, food stalls and restaurants, bars and small gaming zones, and even luxury shops.
